The house consists of three volumes, built in brown brickwork and teak windowframes. The first (high) volume consists on the ground floor out of a workspace with its own entrance and toilet, kitchen and storage. It can be used separately as office, Artist's workshop, guesthouse etc. On the first floor are bedrooms, bathrooms and a spacious hall with storage space. The facade facing the street is a much-closed wall, defining intimacy for the patio-side. The main entrance to the house is in the second volume, the corridor between the two 'solid' volumes. The third volume, the 'living' part, is divided in three pieces. There is the library/dinner room facing east, there is the kitchen as a divider in the space, and there is the living, facing the garden and the patio. The patio is surround on three sides by the volumes.
