The hostel will be the first hostel in almere a city with more than 160.000 inhabitants. It provides a place to stay for backpackers and students from all over the world. It also will have a cafe and restaurant, also aiming at the locals. The hostel is a 3-story building. It is a wooden box with a steel and concrete structure. On the ground floor there is the main entrance and the cafe/restaurant. This is the most transparent of the three floors. The first floor consists of bed- and bathrooms. The second floor has a 'living' room and a huge roof terrace. Where there is glass or an opening in the facade it will be covered with wooden lamellas, visually continuing the rest of the facade. The result is a strict clear box with a lot happening inside it.
